First, we exit the highway at Armoy and travel through the countryside for approximately 65 minutes
until we reach our first stop.
Stop 1 - the magnificent Dark Hedges. These 300-year-old Beech trees form one of the
world's top five tree tunnels, which were made famous by the television series Game of Thrones.
The time here is approximately 30 minutes.
Stop 2 - Carrick-A-Reed Rope Bridge, which requires walking shoes.
It's a 1km walk to and from the bridge over uneven terrain, so bring your head for heights!
The time here is approximately 120 minutes, and tickets must be purchased in advance.
Stop 3 - Ballintoy Harbour. Take a stroll along the pier or into the caves.
This picturesque harbor was also featured in the HBO television series Game of Thrones.
The time here is approximately 30 minutes.
Stop 4 - The Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland's most popular tourist attraction.
These ancient hexagonal basalt rocks cover our coastline and are the only Unesco World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland.
Climb the rocks or walk along the coastal path.
During peak hours, a bus runs up and down to the rocks and is paid for locally, so even those in wheelchairs or with mobility issues can see the rocks.
The time here is approximately 120 minutes.
To enter the visitors center, tickets must be purchased in advance, but there are no tickets required to travel down to see the rocks.
Stop 5 - the 15th-century Dunluce Castle, which perches perilously on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Approximately 30 minutes. The castle ruins require advance purchase of tickets, but walking around is free.
From here, it's a 75-minute drive back to Belfast.
