Tour Two: The Giants Causeway & North Antrim Coast 7-Hour Tour

Itinerary


Firstly, we travel up the motorway to Ballymena and off at Armoy, travelling through the countryside until we reach our first stop of the day.
Stop 1 - The Dark Hedges tree tunnel (These 300-year-old beech trees make a fantastic tree tunnel, and were also used on HBO's Game Of Thrones).
Stop 2 - Carrick-A-Reed Rope Bridge viewing point (this 17th century rope ridge spans over 60ft long above a 100ft drop).Tickets need to be purchased in advance for this bridge. Should you wish to cross, there will be more time added to this tour.
Stop 3 - Ballintoy Harbour (this scenic harbour is beautiful with its rugged rocks and lime caves and was also used in HBO's Game Of Thrones).
Drive along some of the beautiful North Antrim Coastal road
Stop 4 - White Park Bay viewing point (A beautiful view looking down onto a golden sandy beach on the North Atlantic Coast).
Stop 5 - Dunservrick Castle Ruins (Although not much is left of this ancient castle is still nice to see).
Stop 6 - The Giants Causeway (Northern Irelands only UNESCO world heritage site also known as the 8th wonder of the world. These hexagonal rocks cover our spectacular coast line and is a must see tickets must also be booked in advance to enter the visitors centre but the centre is not compulsory to enter).
The Causeway Hotel for lunch (We will have lunch here at this 18th century hotel which is full of character and serves a beautiful hot lunch and drinks or if you want teas or coffees and a beautiful scone).
Stop 7 - Bushmills Town (A beautiful little town with shops and cafes should you wish to have a quick look around for that all important souvenir time dependent).
Stop 8 - Dunluce Castle Viewing Point (This castle hanging on the cliffs of the North Coast was built in the 1500s and has been empty since the 1600s. Tickets need to be booked in advance to enter the ruins and more time would be have to be added on to this tour to enter.
Stop 9 - Bushmills Distillery Stop & Shop (The worlds oldest licensed distillery started making whiskey in 1608. You will have a just a little time to walk around and shop. If you wish to whiskey taste we would need to see what time we have left and if you would like to do the distillery tour then tickets need to be purchased in advance and more time added to the tour).
The time has now come to take you back to your pickup point and the time to Belfast from here is 75 minutes.
Please note this tour is around 7 hours long (not doing any ticketed events) from pickup to drop off and depending of weather / queuing / meal times if we can fit everything in but we will squeeze as much in as we can.
